The Center City District, a private-sector organization dedicated to making Center City Philadelphia clean, safe and attractive, is committed to maintaining Center City’s competitive edge as a regional employment center, a quality place to live, and a premier regional destination for dining, shopping and cultural attractions.

Since 2003, the CCD has made substantial physical improvements intended to transform the Benjamin Franklin Parkway into an animated cultural campus, installing hundreds of ornamental pedestrian-scale and roadway lights, illuminating outdoor sculptures and building facades, improving pedestrian access to Logan Square and renovating Aviator Park.
